Training

Must Love Dogs offers several options for training and working with your dog.  These training options include a 5-Day Play & Train combined with daycare, Board & Train or Private One on One training options.

Play & Train

The foundation for Basic (on-leash) commands are taught in 5 days of inter-active private training sessions where our trainer introduces the dog on how to sit, down, stay, close and walk nice on a leash in multiple one on one sessions during a full day of daycare. Your dog will go home at the end of each day.  At the end of the 5 days, a one hour training session will be held to demonstrate and show the owner how to continue the development of your dog.  Follow-up sessions can be scheduled at no additional charge to assist the owner.

Board & Train

There are multiple options for our Board & Train program.  We have  5 day, 10 day and 15 day programs.  Depend on which program selected, your dog will be introduced to basic commands such as sit, down stay, come, close and learn to walk nice on a leash. in the extended sessions, off-site trips will be included to properly socialize your dog in a public environment.

Canine Good Citizen (CGC)

In this class, your team will be exposed to many more day to day distractions and activities.  You will go thru the 10 tests required by the American Kennel Club and learn how to manage thru each of them.  At the end of the 6 week course, you will be tested to see if you and your dog can pass the CGC test from an AKC Approved Evaluator and receive your title.

Obedience Training

This class is geared towards the team that wants to perform in the Obedience competition rings. The owner and dog will perform the tasks listed in the Pet Manners class, but will focus more on the proper protocol necessary to take your dog into the Obedience ring to compete.  It will go into the details of footwork, body language, competition protocol and fine tuning the commands.  At the end of this class, the team will be equipped to compete in the formal Obedience Ring.

Rally Training

This class requires the Pet Manners class before enrolling in the Rally Training class.   The team will be introduced to the Rally signs and the protocol of performing in the ring.  There are multiple levels of Rally and this class will be developed to meet the team where they are whether its Beginner, Advanced or Excellent Level of Rally Performance.
